Installation

From archive to order book in three minutes

The import is the standard NinjaScript gesture: the same for both products, and reversible. What differs is activation, because the two licenses do not work the same way. Both are covered below.

What you need

NinjaTrader 8 and a Level 2 feed

Your data subscription must include market depth. Without an L2 feed the columns install and display, but they have nothing to read.

The ZIP archive, untouched

Do not unzip it. NinjaTrader expects the whole file: that is what you will point to in the import window.

Your license, but not yet

Installing does not need it. You can import today and activate when the license arrives: nothing you do here will have to be done twice.

The import, step by step

Identical for DynamiDOM Heatmap Pro and for the Professional DOM Suite.

  1. Open the import window

In the NinjaTrader 8 Control Center, menu Tools, then Import, then NinjaScript Add-On.

  2. Point to the archive

Pick the ZIP you downloaded, without opening it. A few seconds later NinjaTrader confirms the import succeeded.

  3. Restart NinjaTrader

Close the platform, open it again. Until it has restarted the new columns do not show up in the list: it is the number one support request, and it fixes itself.

  4. Add the column to your SuperDOM

Open a SuperDOM, right-click the column area, then Columns. Double-click the column you want to add it, and confirm.

What to look for in the list

  • DynamiDOM Heatmap Pro appears as DynamiDOM_OrderBookHeatmap.
  • Every Suite column starts with DOM and ends with (Serveur): DOM Delta (Serveur), DOM Heatmap (Serveur), DOM Absorption (Serveur), and likewise for Flow, Signals, Confluence, Toxicity, Alert and Synthesis.

If you still have the old PDF guide, it quotes a name ending in _V1_0. That name is gone as of v1.01.

Activation, product by product

This is the only place where the two products diverge. Read the block that concerns you, skip the other.

DynamiDOM Heatmap Pro

Nothing to type in

The column relies on NinjaTrader's official vendor license. No key to copy, no machine ID to read off: the entitlement sits on your NinjaTrader account, server-side.

  1. Send us the email address of your NinjaTrader 8 account, the one you sign in to the platform with.
  2. We set the entitlement: allow 48 business hours after a purchase, 24 business hours for a trial.
  3. Restart NinjaTrader. The column goes to work.

Before activation the column installs, displays, and stays inert under a LICENSE REQUIRED | dynamidoxa.com banner. That is the expected behaviour, not a failed install.

Professional DOM Suite

One email, one key, once

The Suite asks for more than an entitlement. Its analysis engine does not travel inside the archive: it is delivered from our servers at every start-up, and the license is what opens that door. Hence the credentials.

  1. Open the properties of any Suite column, then the DynamiDoxa Licence group.
  2. Fill in Email and License Key exactly as they were sent to you, with no leading or trailing space. The key starts with DDX-.
  3. Confirm. The pair is verified, then remembered on this machine: the other columns pick it up on their own. You do not type it nine times.

Once activated, the Suite tolerates three days without a network. A dropped connection will not interrupt a trading session. Past that, it asks for an online check again.

The license is bound to the machine. Moving to another one is possible within the limit your license allows: write to us if a slot needs freeing.

If something gets stuck

The column is not in the list
NinjaTrader has not restarted since the import. Close the platform properly, open it again, then go back to right-click and Columns.
A LICENSE REQUIRED banner covers the column
The install is fine, the entitlement is not set yet. If the stated delay has passed, check that the email you sent is the NinjaTrader account one and not your payment address: the two often differ. Then write to us.
A Suite column stays blank
It has no valid credentials. Reopen its properties, DynamiDoxa Licence group, and retype the email and key with no stray space. The first load also needs a connection: that is when the engine is downloaded.
The import fails on a name conflict
A previous version is still installed. Remove it through Tools, then Remove NinjaScript Assembly, restart, and run the import again.
Rolling back
Tools, then Remove NinjaScript Assembly, and pick the product's assembly. After a restart your SuperDOMs are back to their original columns. Nothing else is touched.

Still an edge case?

Write to us describing the step that blocks and what the platform shows. A SuperDOM screenshot is worth three paragraphs.
